Doodle for Google

 Click to go to Googles web page for more information.With some of the classes being off with more snow days and delays we have spent a little time learning about the career of a graphic designer when designing our own doodle for Google.  This years competition's design theme is "If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place...". If you click on the picture above or here and you will be brought to the web page to get started and be able to submit your design after you scan it or take a photo of it and save it as a jpg or a png. As of today there are just 4 more days! So get working on further developing your design; apply what you learned in art class from different projects and have fun dreaming big!

Family Portrait After Grant Wood

Second graders worked so hard on these family portraits. They learned how to overlap family members toblend colors to add a soft shadow

Paper Molas

The 4th graders are working hard on their paper molas.  They learned about the Kuna  Indians from Panama and the art terms of contrast, rhythm and unity. Ask them what the word mola means & see if they can tell you what region Panama is in. :)
